New Admission Guidelines for DEB-ID

The UGC-DEB has implemented a revised admission process for all Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online (OL) programs, effective from the October 2024 academic session (previously scheduled for July-August 2024)

According to the UGC-DEB Public Notice dated August 19, 2024, it is now mandatory for all learners, except international students, to generate a DEB-ID using their ABC ID before enrolling in any ODL or Online programs.

Broad Scope of the Centre

Step 1

Create ABC id

Go to the UGC-DEB portal https://deb.ugc.ac.in/

or

Use the Direct Link: https://deb.ugc.ac.in/StudentDeBID

Step 2

Create DEB id

Enter the Academic Bank of Credit (ABC) ID and click on “Enter”

Then

Enter the valid/ correct ABC ID for generation of DEB ID

Note your DEB-ID for further use and reference.

Step 3

Enroll for Online Learning

Enroll in a UGC recognised HEI using DEB ID

Then

Complete admission procedure in HEI portal with DEB ID
